After Weight Loss at Empowered
Losing a significant amount of weight changes more than the number on the scale. Skin that stretched does not always shrink back, facial fat that gave the cheeks their fullness can disappear, breasts can lose volume and position, and some people notice hair shedding. None of it means you did anything wrong; it is how the body responds to rapid change.
Dr. Khan plans post-weight-loss care around timing: weight should be stable before surgery, and the prescribing physician manages any medication decisions. These pages explain what she looks for, which procedures may apply, and how to think about sequence.

Request a ConsultationTiming matters
Surgery is usually best once your weight has been stable for several months. Operating earlier risks laxity returning as weight continues to change.
Medication stays with your prescriber
Dr. Khan does not manage GLP-1 therapy. Questions about continuing, pausing or stopping a medication around surgery are coordinated with the physician who prescribes it.
One plan, several areas
Face, breasts, abdomen, arms and thighs often change together. A consultation looks at the whole picture and sequences procedures sensibly rather than treating each area in isolation.
